Teacher Created Materials' founder and CEO, Rachelle Cracchiolo, was recently honored by The Association of Educational Publishers with highest individual honor–induction into the 2010 Educational Publishing Hall of Fame
HUNTINGTON BEACH – January 6, 2011 Educational publisher, Teacher Created Materials (TCM), is pleased to announce the official induction of its founder and Chief Executive Officer, Rachelle Cracchiolo, into the 2010 Educational Publishing Hall of Fame at a recent ceremony held in New York City.
As The Association of Educational Publishers' highest individual honor, the Hall of Fame induction recognizes those who have "dedicated their careers to the advancement of educational resources and the industry that develops and supports them." Charlene Gaynor, CEO of The Association of Educational Publishers, says, "...Their dedication to the education of children has me humbled. It is through individuals like these, and the companies they have created, that we can make such great strides in helping students meet and exceed their potential."
Rachelle spearheaded the growth and development of her family-owned, thriving company that began over 33 years ago in her garage with one simple idea–to help teachers teach! She continues to this day to play an important role in the future of educational publishing. She has consistently led the company in the development of numerous award-winning products that have received such honors as AEP's Golden Lamp Award and Distinguished Achievement Award. In addition to TCM, Rachelle also successfully launched Shell Education, an educational publishing company specializing in professional development resources, and oversaw Shell's expansion into multiple sales channels.
Playing an active role in education has always been and will continue to be an important goal for Rachelle as she strives for excellence in education. As a former educator herself, Rachelle is dedicated to helping all teachers through the development and distribution of high-quality content and makes this goal an ongoing priority.
Rachelle previously served as the President of the Board of Directors of the Association of Educational Publishers, is a member of the Advancement Board for the College of Education at California State University, Fullerton, and is very actively involved with her 5 grandchildren.
In addition, Rachelle has been honored for many professional and personal achievements including Teacher Created Materials' Small Business of the Year for California's 67th District honor in 2009. She was named one of 50 Prominent Alumni in 2008 from California State University, Fullerton and received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2006 from the university's Vision & Visionaries Alumni Association. In 2004, she was awarded Contractor of the Year by the Community Rehabilitation Industry, Long Beach, California.
